History that goes up in Flames (Germany)

In May 1933 the German Student Union organised the infamous Nazi book burning ceremonies, the climax of the Action against the Un-German Spirit. More than 25000 "un-German" books were burned including works of Jewish, Pacifist, Religious, Socialist, Communist and many other authors.

One of the places where books were burned was the Bebelplatz in Berlin, where also Joseph Goebbels gave a speech.
